2 Mile Run-2 Mile Paddle-2 Mile Run
Join us for the 2nd annual Sleepy Kraken RunYak on Saturday, June 12th 2021 at Lake Lurleen State Park! This Duathlon consists of a 2 mile road run, 2 mile paddle (Kayak or Paddleboard) and finishes with a 2 mile trail run. Proceeds will benefit the Camp Horne BSA as well as healthy incentives with the Tuscaloosa Track Club.
Awards:
Top 3 Overall M/F Solo
Top 3 Overall M/F/Co-ed teams
Teams can consist of 2 people. Each team member must run one leg of the race, both will paddle together.
Top 3 Male/Female in Run only division
Age requirement is 7 years old participating with a parent, 12 to race alone. PFDs must be worn by all competitors regardless of swimming ability!
Registration is $45 per participant. (Includes shirt if registered by 5/31)!
Lake Lurleen Admission costs:This is in addition to race entry fee & will be paid to gate attendant on race day!
$4 for adults (12-61)
$2 for Children 4-11
$2 for Seniors (62+)
Free for babies (0-3 years)
There is also a Run Only option!! This consists of the 2 mile road run followed by the 2 mile trail run. Entry is $25 and includes shirt (if registered by 5/31)!
First 50 participants to register will receive a swag bag!!
Registration & Packet Pick-up is from 6:45-7:45 am. Race begins at 8:00am!!
